CalPad - Invitations
For collaboration or group working, CalPad supports sending invitations from any task/event to receiver via mail. Upon received, the invitees can either accept or decline the invitation:
- If accepted, the task/event will be added to the receiver's Calpad database, receiver can also send back an email to inform the inviter that they have accepted this.
- If declined, invitee can send a reply mail to the inviter informing that invitee has declined the invitation.
Setup
You will need to specify an email in Settings view to send invitation or receive feedbacks (accepted/declined) if any from the invitees to keep track your invitations.
Create Invitation
Open task/event's details view, tap Invitees will expand a view where you can add/remove the invitees. You can directly input the Invitee’s name and email address or importing from the Contacts list by tapping the contact icon at the top right bar of the view. CalPad will automatically fill the Contact’s name and Contact’s email for you.
To delete an invitee, swipe from left to right on the cell body where that invitee allocated, you will see a red Delete button, tap on that to delete the invitee.
Send an invitation
You can easily send the invitation mail to invitees from the Details view of a task/event
Tap on Send Invitation, an email will be created:
Click Send will send the invitation mail to the receiver.
You also can send the invitation from the pop-over menu. From any view in the app, if your task/event has invitation, tap on it to show the pop-over menu that includes invitees and invitation can be sent from there.
Receive an Invitation
From mail's inbox, Receiver needs to open the mail, and click on the the link embedded, CalPad app will be opened and a message will be shown:
Click on Aceept will insert the event into the CalPad's calendar.
Update invitation status
For a complete work flow, receiver can also send mail to sender to inform the status (Receiver will need to specify an email address in Settings view of CalPad to send mail). Once received, the sender can also click on the reply mail to update the status into event invitation info.
As for an example, the user Adv001 has accepted the invitation and sent reply mail, the sender will update the status from yellow signal to green signal.
