New since CalPad v1.3

In Calpad 1.3. the great new features are:

  • Moving between Task/Note and Calendar view
  • Moving Tasks between days in week
  • Support Task and Note view in Landscape mode

Below is the general picture:

In which:

- Move event to Task view, Event will become Task

- Move Task to Calendar view, Task -> Event

- Move event to Note view, Event will become Note

- Move Note to Calendar view, Note -> Event

- Move Task/Note to another day in same view-> change Start day of Task/Note

Notes:

  • Move any item (Task/Note/Event) to ADE panel, will convert it to an ADE
  • Do not support to move an ADE

Task / Note view in Landscape mode

Notes:

  • You can expand the week view to hide the Task and Note view
  • Moving item between Calendar, Task and Note view is same as with Day view

CalPad – Flexible Week View

CalPad provides a well-organized Week view with 7 days view, flexible weekday start and a combining week of year and week of month in one view. Week view contains of Events view, Tasks view and Notes view.

NOTES

  • Week view has three sections in portrait view: all-day events section, events section and Tasks/Notes section. In the landscape view, for saving space, it just has two sections are all-day events section and events section.
  • The All-day events section can be expanded/collapsed with the button on the left side.

FLEXIBLE WEEKDAY START

Weekday in CalPad can start on Sunday or Monday depends on how you specify in Setting view.

WEEK OF YEAR COMBINES WITH WEEK OF MONTH

Week view shows week of year (1-52/53 week) in week on month.

  • Week of month is from Sun to Sat or from Mon to Sun depends on how you specify weekday starts in Settings.
  • Week of year is based on the ISO 8601 standard. In the Week view of a week in year, the selected week’s title/number is darker than the day number of the previous week.

TIME BALANCE FOR WEEK OR YEAR

CalPad counts the balance time for week of year, not week of month. The time balance of week is counted based on the time balance of each day in that week of year.

Like time balance in Day view, time balance of each day in week depends on how you specify in the Settings view. You can setup to count time balance for each day in week based on Day Time or All day.

LUNAR DATE

CalPad can show lunar dates in week view. If you enabled to show lunar date in the Setting view, you will see lunar dates on the bottom of days in week.

TASKS VIEW

Tasks view is on the bottom of the week view to show tasks for each day in week.

Tasks on each day in week may be Start tasks or Due tasks or both Start & Due tasks on that day depends on how you specify in the Setting view.

NOTES VIEW

  • Notes view is on the bottom of week view to show notes for each day in week.

USER’S OPERATIONS

* Tap on any events will show a pop-over menu listing the event’s actions.

From there, you can:

  • Delete the event with “Delete” option.
  • Copy the event into clipboard with “Copy” option.
  • Start timing the event with “Time” option.
  • Pause the event if it is timing with “Pause” option.
  • Done the event with “Done” option.
  • Launch the Map inside the app with event’s location by “Map” option.
  • Show detail of the event in Detail view where you can make changes with “Edit” option.
  • Check/uncheck items in the check list of the event.
  • Send invitation to invitees with "Send Invitation" button.

* Touch-hold-move: touch any event or booking task, hold and move it around the events view to change date/time of the item.

* Tap on open time slot to quick add event on any day in week.

The actions for tasks are same as when you are in Day view.

* Tap on any task in Task view will show a pop-over menu.

From there, you can do:

  • Delete the task with “Delete” option.
  • Copy the task into clipboard with “Copy” option.
  • Start timing the task with “Time” option.
  • Pause the task if it is timing with the “Pause” option.
  • Done the task with “Done” option.
  • Book this individual task into calendar with “Book” option.
  • Remove this task from calendar, if it is booking, with “UnBook” option.
  • Launch the map with task’s location by “Map” option.
  • Show task in detail view with “Edit” option.

* Touch-hold-move: touch any task, hold and move it up/down will change its priority on that day.

Operations on the Notes view

* Tap any note on the Notes view will show you a pop-over menu combine with note detail so you can edit directly.

From there you can:

  • Delete the note with the “Delete” option.
  • Copy the note into clipboard with “Copy” option.
  • Export the note via mail with “Export” option.
  • Print the note via air printer with “Print” option.
  • Create a task or an event from whole content of the note with the “Create” option. The note's content will be attached into task/event’s note. For CalPad 1.1, the stylus note will be attached as the task/event's photo.
  • You also can create a task/event from any words of the notes by selecting them, the action menu will display, submenu “Create” is to create a task/event with selected words as title.
